Acai Roots Tshirts

Those of you who have with us for a while know that our love of acai is about more than just its being a delicious and healthy food, but about the active, life-loving Brazilian lifestyle and how acai is a part of it. To celebrate our love of that lifestyle, of Rio, Brazil, and of course Acai Roots, we had local Brazilian artist Dodô design a series of Acai Roots tshirts that feature famous places from around Rio and Brazil, as well as activities and scenes typically associated with "Cariocas" and the growth in popularity of acai. These handmade shirts will soon be for sale on our website and part of the proceeds will go Rhythm of Hope, our NGO partner that helps marginalized communities in Brazil.

Flying around "Pedra da Gávea" - in Floresta da Tijuca near Rio

Watching a "Flamengo" game at the famous and gigantic "Maracanã"

Flying over the rainforest "Floresta da Tijuca" with Christ Statue ("Cristo Redentor") on the right and "Pedra da Gavea" on left

Kids flying kites on top of a building in a Favela "Morro Santa Marta" with the Sugar Loaf in the background

"Roda de Capoeira" (Capoeira game) at Lapa neighboorhood with "Arcos da Lapa" (arches) in the background. A very famous "carioca" scene.

Climbing somewhere around "Pedra da Gavea" with beautiful "Zona Sul" (South Area of the beaches along the Rio coast where acai became really popular during the 80s and 90s). Two main postcards in the background: Christ The Redeemer and Sugar Loaf.

Biking in Ipanema Beach walk with the Atlantic Ocean and "Morro Dois Irmaos" (Two Brothers Hills) in the background.

Catching a nice left in "Prainha" Beach.

We hope these beautiful images give you an idea of what we mean when we say that Acai Roots truly isn't just a berry, it's a lifestyle. Check back soon to grab one of these tshirts for yourself or as gifts for friends and family, and in the meantime, keep enjoying your piece of Rio with Acai Roots.
