Juliano's sporting career began in a small town in Sao Paulo Brazil where his grandmother supported his swimming lessons in a private club in that same hometown. He showed a talent early on when he became the best breaststroke swimmer in his state region. Years later he ended up as a national champion with the support of his team.

Six years later he moved to Florida to swim with one of the best coaches in the country and to continue with his studies. He then decided that he wanted to shift to triathlons. He moved to San Diego, a place well known to be the capital of triathlons.

Juliano started racing as only he knew how, with the desire to be the best. His natural swimming ability made him an immediate threat in every race. Even more impressive was the progression he made in his first couple years as a dominant force on the bike and making significant strides on the run. Now racing with the very best, his future is without doubt, bright. Already an Ironman finisher at age 22, his committment to the sport is obvious.
